This book is full of very realistic photos depicting first aid emergencies. I used it in a college CPR and First Aid course. I recommend it highly as a supplement to any first aid class or training. It really helped me. This ISBN is for the latest THIRD EDITION of the American Red Cross manual, First Aid: Responding to Emergencies. This is the Third Edition, with a 2001 copywright, is Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) 2000-compliant for CPR and Airway Management techniques. BE CAREFUL! OLDER EDITIONS..more

This is a great reference book for students of First Aid. Whether you're going for certification or not, this manual has all the information you need to feel informed on the latest techniques in first aid and CPR. It also has some fabulous pictures showing examples of the conditions discussed, as well as the techniques. The only thing this text lacks is the hands on experience that brings true confidence to a citizen responder.

This book covers a wide variety of emergencies and what you can do in the event of them. I really enjoyed it. This is an outdated version so pick up something a little newer.
